About Us

In October 2014, the Texas Pain Foundation became operational as a 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization. Unlike the Texas Pain Society, a 501c6 organization, the Foundation focuses only on education and research and CAN accept unrestricted educational grants but CANNOT engage in lobbying.

The aims and objectives of the Foundation are to advance the art and science of pain medicine by promoting and maintaining the highest standards of professional practice through education and research; by aiding and encouraging the education of medical students, residents, fellows and practicing physicians in pain management.

We hope you consider making a donation to the Foundation to assist in program development in 2020.

As we look to the year ahead, educational activities about pain and its treatment are more crucial than ever and I hope you will make a donation to support our work.

With your donations, the Texas Pain Foundation will continue to work towards educational efforts about pain medicine and pain treatments.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,
Board of Directors members, Tim Zoys, MD, Richard Hurley, MD and Graves Owen, MD and Cheryl Crenshaw and Miles Day, MD and Mitchell Engle, MD and Krista DuRapau, Executive Director.
